Which network is better: Facebook or Google+? Which networks works better in which case? I’ll dig into the question and show you cannot compare the two. Or can you? About two and a half years ago Google+ came up on the screen and developed fine ever since. From the outside it seems no Google product has ever grown that fast. And of course Google really needed a success in the social business. Too many tries had failed. Google Wave and Google Buzz went down the toilet. So is Google+ a success? Probably. At least successful enough to compare it to Facebook steadily. But this is a major problem: if you compare Facebook and Google+ you haven’t really understood it! Click here and read the full article.

Twitter wants to follow Facebook and get its IPO done. This makes sense, eventually Twitter grows steadily. A successful IPO will ensure that growth – also because it will ensure more money for expansion. As many other social networks that live from user generated content, the often named “short message service” does, too. In fact it’s a user dependency and lack of own content. It works fine, but there are also many people who don’t really understand it – although it could be so easy. Many mistakes are made on Twitter, and they all could be avoided. I document 7 of those – don’t counterfeit! Click here and read the full article.

After “web 2.0″, “social media” and “content marketing” it’s about time to deal with another fad: the “corporate blog”. A corporate blog gives companies the opportunity to display themselves much more transparent as any commercial could. Used right it’s not a secret weapon but a silver bullet. Usually all companies have the same problem: as soon as they have reached a certain size roles are clearly distributed. Of course there is personnel for marketing and PR but the thought to employ a “corporate blogger” is really far away.
